  Please come and eat here. The coffee is amazing, for a town full of amazing coffee, and the food is beautiful, decadent, perfectly spiced, and very fresh and wholesome. The menu is full of vegan and gluten free fair, for those bent that way, and wonderfully marrinated chicken and lamb for those protein palates. Everything originates from southern Indiana street fare, matured into modern, sophisticated cousine made all the more flavourful by the obvious care and love it was prepared for by Chef Cirag, who, himself is a living Testimony for hard work and the Canadian dream. You will not be disappointed by taste, presentation, atmosphere, and price.

  All I can say is that this is a fantastic restaurant! The owner is post modern in his cooking approach to cooking authentic southern Indian food. You will be charmed, full of good food and ready to hit the slopes after eating breakfast, lunch or dinner. Don’t leave Nelson, BC without eating at Katooney South India Kitchen. Next time we are in Nelson, BC we will stop in again.

  Went twice! First time was an amazing experience! The place is lively with colours, shapes and music. I had no idea what to order so the owner picked and WOW! He did not disappoint. I even had a dessert. All wonderful
