  Aside from our wrecked expectations and zero effort to accommodate us on an upper floor upon arrival, the room was in good condition, with kitchenette which we didn’t use. Hotel is close enough to downtown to be walkable which we appreciated. We won’t be staying here on future trips to Nelson however.

  Warning: if you’re looking for a room with a view, call and make sure what floor they book you on. This hotel considers their first floor rooms as having balconies as well and the pic below illustrates the view we had. Pretty poor way to lure in guests for a weekend.

  The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower water pressure was excellent. The staff were courteous and professional. The missing star was because the pillows are ridiculously over stuffed and the towels were small.

  Beware the executive suite! The website advertises a separate room with two queen beds, plus a pullout couch. Our suit had a second room, with 4 stairs to get up to it (this put my head inches from the ceiling, however I'm a tall guy). There was only one bed in this odd second room, plus another pullout. We were told the suite accommodates six, which it does, but we were 6 guys on a ski trip stuck with 1 bed and two pullout couches. The rest of the experience was good. Nice kitchenette, good breakfast offsite.

  Very friendly and helpful. We had a power cut and they were right there if we needed flash lights. Lucky it wasn't dark yet so we just went out for a few hours. Our view was stunning, but the only downfall was a night time there was a train that went through but because there are no barriers at the crossing they have to toot their horn. Made me jump a few times haha but it doesn't last long. As long as you know beforehand this is a beautiful hotel. Definitely worth a visit.

  I have so many wonderful experiences in the Prestige Inn in Nelson. They have a wonderful restaurant with great food. I love their waterfront patio in the summer. The staff are all friendly and approachable. Our son and new wife had their wedding reception in the banquet room, which was perfect!! 5 stars without a doubt!!!
