Was walking in Lakeside park with our dog and 3 year old daughter, on the far westside of the bridge. We came across 4 people setting off fireworks during a province wide fireban. Called Nelson Police to report it and they told me I should have called the fire department!?!?! Just to be clear, there was no fire, just people lighting off uncontrollable fire sources at fuel sources ( bushes trees grass ). This "police officer" seemed really into hearing what I had to say, considering tens of thousands of British Columbians have been displaced due to human stupidity and ignorance when fire is involved!! Shameful, Nelson, Shameful.

Poor food. Poor service. Seating is not comfortable. The A&W burgers were cold by the time they got to my cell! Will not be coming back.
